Find your treasures here! is the appropriate slogan on the business cards of St. Margaret Mary Flea Market. This small and friendly thrift store is only a few blocks from where we live and we anxiously await the appearance of the red and white signs announcing the few days each month when they are open.

We’ve found several great treasures while shopping here and always enjoy our visits. The hard-working Volunteers who manage the store are really friendly and always seem to be having a great time while working. They have such a fun spirit, they even ring a bell when a first time shopper makes a purchase!

Although the shop is small the volunteers work hard to arrange the inventory so it’s easy to shop. There is a large section of Christmas and holiday decorations, four aisles of various household, hobby & craft supplies, toys and other goods. One corner houses the book and album area and along the back wall is the “specials” table next to the clothing and accessories corner.

The jewelry counter is nicely arranged and always full of a variety of items. Outside behind the store there is a garage full of larger items like furniture, electronics and kids large toys.

This all volunteer non-profit store has been in the Penbrook neighborhood of Harrisburg for 2 years. It began as an off shoot of the annual St. Margaret Mary Festival and gradually grew from a small shed to the current location in the basement of the parish Youth/Community Center. They are looking for volunteers to come help sort and price the donations on Wednesday 9am – 12pm for more information give them a call at 717-329-4123.
